Many royal watchers interpreted Meghan’s timing as an attempt to steal the spotlight from the Princess of Wales, especially as the royal couple was warmly welcomed by the crowds during their heartfelt visit.
On social media, accusations quickly surfaced, with some users alleging that Meghan was trying to “ruin” what was meant to be a significant and supportive moment for Kate and William.
Podcast host Stephanie Sidley took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out Meghan, suggesting that the Duchess of Sussex had initially deleted the video, only to repost it strategically. “Meghan Markle just reposted this cringe video on her Instagram after deleting it. Clearly trying to overshadow the Prince and Princess of Wales’ return to Wales after Catherine’s cancer diagnosis,” she wrote, as reported by GB News.
