Former President Donald Trump took a swipe at Rep. Ilhan Omar after she harshly criticized late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, suggesting to Somalia’s president that Omar should be “taken back.”
Omar had stirred controversy when she dismissed tributes to Kirk, labeling him a “reprehensible human being” and even a “stochastic terrorist.” Her comments immediately drew backlash across the political spectrum.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) attempted to push through a censure measure against Omar, though it ultimately failed. Meanwhile, public figures, including golfer Phil Mickelson, also piled on, with Mickelson bluntly stating Omar should be “sent back” to Somalia.
