Fox News Weekends Get a Shake-Up: Kayleigh McEnany Leads the Charge with Bold New Show

Fox News weekends are about to look very different—and Kayleigh McEnany is stepping right into the spotlight.

Starting September 20, the former White House press secretary and current Outnumbered co-host will headline her own two-hour program, Saturday in America with Kayleigh McEnany. The new show airs Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon ET and will break down the week’s biggest headlines with McEnany’s trademark sharp analysis and straight talk.

“I’m thrilled to host Saturday in America with Kayleigh McEnany, launching September 20 on Fox News from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET,” she wrote on X, noting she’ll also remain a weekday co-host on Outnumbered. “Thank you @FoxNews for the opportunity to bring America news and analysis each Saturday morning!”

A New Look for the Weekend Lineup

McEnany isn’t the only one stepping into a new role. Veteran correspondent Griff Jenkins is officially joining Fox & Friends Weekend as the third co-host, alongside Rachel Campos-Duffy and Charlie Hurt. Jenkins, who has been with Fox since 2003 covering everything from border security to overseas conflicts, brings a wealth of firsthand reporting to the weekend team.

Meanwhile, the powerhouse duo of Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich will front a brand-new Sunday show, The Sunday Briefing. Launching September 21 at 11 a.m. ET, the program will tackle Washington’s biggest stories, from domestic policy to international issues.

Behind the headlines, both anchors are marking big personal milestones: Doocy just welcomed his second child with wife and fellow Fox reporter Hillary Vaughn, while Heinrich is newly engaged to Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick after a Paris proposal.

Big Weekend Expands

Fans of The Big Weekend Show will also see changes. The program is extending its run to both Saturdays and Sundays from 5 to 8 p.m. ET. Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones will co-anchor the expanded edition, joined each week by a rotating panel of contributors.

“I am beyond pumped for this new weekend role,” Lahren said. “And especially excited to be working with my longtime friend Johnny Joey.”

A Farewell to MediaBuzz

After more than a decade leading MediaBuzz, Howie Kurtz is stepping aside as host. His final episode airs September 14.

“I’m extraordinarily proud of the program, which was number one for over 12 years and built a loyal audience that valued our down-the-middle approach,” Kurtz said. Though leaving the anchor chair, he’ll remain a key voice at Fox through his Media BuzzMeter podcast, online contributions, and regular on-air analysis.

Looking Ahead

Fox News Media President and Editor-in-Chief Jay Wallace framed the shake-up as part of a broader push to evolve the network’s weekend programming.

“As we expand and innovate our weekend programming, we are proud to bring our audience unrivaled depth and expertise,” Wallace said. “This new dynamic roster underscores our continued commitment to delivering top-tier coverage across both news and opinion.”

With McEnany’s debut, new co-host pairings, and revamped shows, Fox News viewers have plenty of fresh content to look forward to this fall.
