After stepping away for maternity leave, Kat Timpf is back on Gutfeld!—and she brought more than just her usual wit. The Fox News personality shared a major health update during her return: she’s officially cancer-free after undergoing a double mastectomy.
Timpf, 36, who recently became a mother, is stepping into this new chapter with her trademark openness—now as both a survivor and a parent.
A Difficult Diagnosis at a Life-Changing Moment
Back in February, Timpf revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer just hours before giving birth to her first child with husband Cameron Friscia.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, she wrote, “I’m lucky we caught it early—and lucky to be my son’s mom.” She even credited her baby for possibly helping to save her life.
Her Words: “Boob-Free and Cancer-Free”
True to form, Timpf brought honesty and humor to her return. “I didn’t get stretch marks, I did cut my tits off,” she joked, receiving laughs and applause from the audience. “I am boob-free and I am cancer-free.”
While she still has reconstructive procedures ahead, doctors were able to remove the tumor successfully. Timpf was clear about her choice to have the surgery: “I didn’t want to risk my life for some 32As,” she said on-air.
A Comeback On Her Own Terms
Host Greg Gutfeld welcomed her back with praise, noting her resilience as both a new mom and someone who faced a tough diagnosis head-on. Before bringing her back to the stage, he even aired a video clip from the hospital of Timpf motivating herself before surgery, saying: “Let’s f**king go.”
“I love being a mom,” Timpf shared during the episode. “The way everything happened was completely surreal.”
Though doctors haven’t determined if pregnancy may have played a role in the cancer’s development, Timpf says she has no regrets: “Even if it did, it was worth it—I love him so much.”
Her son’s name remains private, but fellow panelists Kennedy Montgomery, David Angelo, and Tyrus joined her on set, with Tyrus gifting her a toy for the baby.
More Than Just a TV Return
Timpf’s Gutfeld! comeback isn’t the only way she’s reconnecting with fans. She recently appeared on the Fox Nation series What Did I Miss?, which premiered May 12. Her updates from the hospital gave followers an unfiltered look at her experience—marked by courage, transparency, and her signature dry humor.
