What should have been a short, routine drive turned into a devastating tragedy early Monday morning. The Ceará Military Fire Department confirmed the heartbreaking incident, which was also reported by TV Verdes Mares.
The family had set out from Várzea Alegre heading to Juazeiro do Norte—a trip that usually takes about an hour. Their destination held hope: a scheduled surgery for young Miguel that was meant to improve his health.
But that hope was tragically cut short.
Around 7 a.m., the car veered off course and plunged into a stream near Sítio Piripiri. With the water reaching depths of nearly five meters, the situation quickly turned dire. The conditions made rescue efforts extremely difficult, and sadly, the crash claimed a life.
