“Melania, You Might Be Coming for My Job”
Although the gathering was intended to celebrate Trump’s legislative win—the so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill”—it soon turned into a moment of recognition for Melania herself. The former president publicly applauded her efforts on the “Take It Down Act,” a bipartisan bill passed on May 19, aimed at cracking down on the spread of explicit, non-consensual images, including AI-generated content.
“I want to thank you, Melania,” Trump said with a grin.
“When I saw that bill pass, with support from both sides, I thought—‘You might be coming for my job.’”

Last month, an internet rumor falsely claimed Donald Trump had cut federal funds to Harvard University in retaliation for Barron being rejected. The story quickly picked up steam online until Melania’s office stepped in to set the record straight.
“Barron did not apply to Harvard, and any claim suggesting otherwise is entirely false,” said Nick Clemens, a spokesperson for the Office of the First Lady.
Melania, who has long been protective of her son, previously opened up about his transition to college life, telling Fox News that she doesn’t consider herself an “empty nester.”
“I wouldn’t say I feel like an empty nester. That’s not how it feels to me,” she shared.
