In a fiery speech, Minnesota State Representative Steve Drazkowski leveled serious accusations at Representative Ilhan Omar, claiming she has repeatedly broken the law and calling for her immediate arrest. Drazkowski alleged that Omar has engaged in various forms of fraud, from tax and immigration fraud to student loan and perjury offenses.
He didn’t mince words, labeling Omar a “serial career criminal,” and pressed Representative Angie Craig (D-MN) to open a congressional ethics probe. “I’m calling on Congresswoman Craig to begin an ethics investigation into Ilhan Omar’s alleged misconduct, which spans federal tax fraud, immigration fraud, student loan fraud, and violations of state law including perjury, bigamy, and kickbacks,” Drazkowski declared.
The Republican lawmaker also pointed to allegations of campaign finance abuses by Omar across several states, including Boston, Washington, New York, Chicago, and Florida. According to Drazkowski, Omar misused campaign funds while serving on the Minnesota House Education Finance Committee in 2017 and 2018. The Minnesota Campaign Finance Board found her guilty of those violations just three weeks ago, ordering her to repay the funds by June 6.
“These revelations are deeply troubling,” Drazkowski warned. “Omar’s actions not only undermine our state’s ethics standards but also raise concerns about her access to classified national security information.”
He argued that if such allegations had been brought against a Republican like Michele Bachmann, the media’s response would have been far more aggressive. “Minnesota deserves better. America deserves accountability,” Drazkowski stated. He shared copies of his letter and related documents with the press, promising to address any questions.
The video of Drazkowski’s remarks quickly went viral, sparking intense discussion online. Prominent conservative commentator Real Robert highlighted the video, emphasizing Drazkowski’s claims and the supporting documents he presented. “This is Minnesota Republican Steve Drazkowski, who has the affidavits, eviction notices, and other records. He’s demanding Omar’s arrest for a laundry list of alleged crimes from coast to coast,” Real Robert said.
Another observer weighed in on the perceived imbalance in how these cases are handled. “If any of us were facing even half of these accusations, we’d be behind bars already,” the comment read. “It’s this double standard that erodes trust in our justice system. We need to hold corrupt officials accountable—no exceptions.”
In a climate of growing skepticism about political accountability, Drazkowski’s forceful charges against Omar have added fuel to an already heated debate.
