Kash Patel Uncovers FBI Bias Toward Clinton and Promises a New Era of Accountability

In a recent eye-opening interview on Sunday Morning Futures with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, FBI Director Kash Patel shed light on how the agency once acted as a political shield for Hillary Clinton—and how he plans to dismantle what he calls a culture of corruption within the Bureau.

The FBI’s involvement in politics has long sparked debate, but its actions during Donald Trump’s first term drew particular attention. Former Director James Comey’s handling of the Clinton email probe, followed by his attempt to cast Trump in a negative light after being fired, left a lasting impression on the public.

During the May 18th interview, Patel detailed what he views as the FBI’s overreach. “The FBI took on roles that belong to the Department of Justice and the Attorney General,” he explained. “People like James Comey made decisions about which investigations moved forward and which didn’t. If you don’t believe me, just look at the video footage from the Hillary Clinton investigation.”

Patel clarified that the FBI’s role is not to decide prosecutions. “That authority lies with the Department of Justice,” he said. “We work closely with officials like Attorney General Pam Bondi, but the decision-making power ultimately rests with them—not with agents or analysts.”

He pointed to the FBI’s now-infamous Crossfire Hurricane probe into Trump’s alleged ties to Russia as an example of how political motives had influenced the Bureau’s operations. “The leadership at the time was determined and vindictive,” Patel said. “They twisted the FISA process, misled the public, and hid documents in places they knew wouldn’t be searched.”

Vowing to bring change, Patel promised a wave of transparency in the coming weeks. “We’re finally in a position to fix this,” he said. “Give us a little time, and you’ll see the difference. The FBI was once the gold standard in law enforcement—and it will be again.”

This isn’t Patel’s first major revelation regarding political bias and misconduct. In a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, he dropped another bombshell—this time implicating House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the events of January 6th.

Speaking directly to Senator Ted Cruz, Patel described how the National Guard’s deployment was delayed due to procedural roadblocks involving the Speaker and the D.C. Mayor. “We were already authorized by the President to deploy up to 20,000 troops,” he said. “We were in the Oval Office, alongside the Secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs Chairman, ready to act. But we had to wait for the formal request from local authorities before moving forward.”

Patel emphasized that preparations had been in motion well before the chaos unfolded. “We were doing everything the law allowed, even before the official request came in,” he told the committee.

With bold claims and promises of reform, Kash Patel is setting the stage for what could be a major shift in how the FBI operates—and how political power is held in check.
